Got Milk? We do!!!!
On the last Wednesday in September of each year over 40 countries around the world celebrate World School Milk Day. Celebrate the 13th Annual World School Milk Day (WSMD) on Wednesday, September 26th 2012.
What is World School Milk Day?
World School Milk day is an international, annual event that celebrates the importance of school milk in children's diets. WSMD highlights the importance of dairy foods in the diet of children. Countries throughout the world celebrate World School Milk Day on the last Wednesday of every September. When you celebrate WSMD in your school, you know that children all around the world are also celebrating on the same day!
The first World School Milk Day (WSMD) was celebrated in 2000 and has since become an annual event with a growing number of countries joining in on the celebration. The Food and Agriculture Organization's goal is to provide a particular day when attention is focused on school milk and to have all countries celebrating on the same day.
We will have lots of great activites to celebrate this day at John Will! Come join us to learn about the value of milk.
